Physical touch is very startling, and can be triggering. It also can hurt people!
If you don’t have permission, don’t touch!! Why do I have to say this!!Many people with chronic conditions (especially fibromyalgia or neuropathy) experience allodynia, which is the sensation of pain triggered by light pressure. I have days where brushing against my soft sheets or cotton underwear cause me pain. Imagine what an unexpected pat on the back or hug would feel like someone in this state. If you can’t imagine, I’ll tell you: it’s fucking excruciating. Also, don’t be a creep and touch people without asking.

HI RISE AGAINST TWITTER!!! if anyone is still following my dead ass blog lmao. i’m basically inactive now because idk what to do here really. but i was listening to Wolves and thought i’d come and look around and i’m LIVING for all these new live photos
incase anyone was wondering Rise @ the garage London was AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!!! i have lots to say but now is not the time. apart from that i heard two of my dream songs played live. you know those songs, right at the top of your list but you don’t think you will ever hear them. blood red white & blue, and state of the union. although i wish i’d been in the pits for some of the gig, i spent the whole time on the barrier (don’t get me wrong it was so great but i like to do a bit of both) but i hadn’t been to a gig in over a year, and my chronic (pain) illness has been very chaotic and just… bad, as well as some distressing muscular issues I’m having that we don’t know what it is yet. so i had to take it easy (as easy as you can at a rise concert)
ANYWAYS i’m gonna be at Leeds/Manchester/Birmingham/Newcastle on the November tour. hit me up if you’re going to any of them! don’t worry i’m just as fucking awkward and shy as you!
